Airo is a modular indoor air quality monitoring system built around wireless sensor Pods and the Airo Dock.

Instead of putting every sensor into one fixed device, Airo lets you choose the measurements you care about, place Pods where they matter most, and bring everything together through the Airo app.

Most air quality monitors measure everything from a single location.

Airo separates sensing into individual wireless Pods, allowing you to monitor different conditions across different rooms and place each sensor closer to where it is actually useful.

You can start with the sensors you need today and expand your system over time.

Air conditions can vary significantly from room to room.

CO₂ may build up in a bedroom overnight, particles may increase while cooking or 3D printing, and VOC levels may change around new furniture, cleaning products or other everyday activities.

Separate Pods let you measure what matters, where it matters — without needing a complete air quality monitor in every room.

Not necessarily.

The Airo Dock is required if you want to use the Airo app and the complete Airo experience, including multi-room monitoring, historical trends, alerts, insights and convenient Pod charging.

Airo Pods are also standalone Matter over Thread devices and can be used independently with compatible Matter ecosystems.

Yes.

Each Airo Pod can operate independently as a Matter over Thread sensor when paired with a compatible Matter ecosystem.

Without an Airo Dock, you cannot use the Airo app. Your measurements and device experience will instead be managed through the Matter platform you pair the Pod with.

Standalone Pods can be charged using an Airo Pogo Charging Cable.

Yes.

Airo is designed to grow with you. You can start with just the sensors you need and add more Pods later as you want to monitor additional parameters or spaces.

You can also use multiple Pods of the same type — for example, one CO₂ Pod in your bedroom and another in your home office.

Airo currently offers four sensor Pods:

• CO₂ Pod — monitors carbon dioxide and helps you understand ventilation.
• VOC Pod — tracks changes in overall volatile organic compound conditions.
• PM Pod — monitors fine airborne particulate matter.
• Temperature & Humidity Pod — monitors temperature and relative humidity.

You can mix and match Pods based on your space and what you want to understand.

It depends on your space and what you want to monitor.

For a bedroom, CO₂ and temperature & humidity are particularly useful for understanding ventilation and comfort overnight.

For a home office, CO₂ can help you understand ventilation throughout the working day, while VOC monitoring can reveal changes in your indoor environment.

For cooking, workshops or 3D printing, PM and VOC monitoring can be particularly useful for seeing how activities affect the surrounding air.

There is no required combination — Airo is designed around your needs.

The CO₂ Pod measures carbon dioxide concentration in the air.

Indoor CO₂ levels commonly rise when people spend time in an enclosed space with limited ventilation. Tracking these changes can help you understand when a room may benefit from fresh air.

The VOC Pod tracks changes in overall volatile organic compound conditions and presents them as a simple VOC Index.

VOCs can come from many everyday sources, including furniture, paints, cleaning products, fragrances, adhesives and other materials.

Rather than focusing on one individual compound, the VOC Index helps you understand how overall VOC conditions change over time.

No.

The VOC Pod monitors overall changes in volatile organic compounds rather than identifying or quantifying individual chemicals.

Its readings should therefore not be interpreted as a laboratory measurement of a specific compound such as formaldehyde.

The Airo PM Pod currently measures PM2.5 — fine airborne particles with a diameter of 2.5 micrometers or smaller.

PM2.5 can come from sources including cooking, smoke, outdoor pollution and other particle-generating activities.

We are also evaluating support for PM1 and PM10 measurements in the future.

Airo is an environmental monitoring system, not a certified life-safety alarm.

The PM Pod may detect increases in airborne particles associated with smoke, but it should never replace a certified smoke alarm.

The CO₂ Pod measures carbon dioxide (CO₂), not carbon monoxide (CO). A certified carbon monoxide alarm should always be used where required.

Airo uses high-quality sensing components selected for reliable indoor environmental monitoring.

Accuracy varies by Pod type, measurement range and environmental conditions. Detailed accuracy, resolution and measurement specifications are available in the specifications for each Pod.

Every Airo Pod is calibrated before leaving the factory, so no additional calibration is normally required by the user.

Some sensors may need time after first setup to establish or adapt their baseline.

If you notice readings that appear clearly abnormal or inconsistent, contact Sensereo Support. Our team can help troubleshoot the issue and, where necessary, guide you through additional calibration procedures.

Place each Pod in the area you actually want to understand.

For representative readings, avoid placing Pods directly beside open windows, air-conditioning outlets, heaters, air purifier outlets or other strong sources of airflow.

If you want to understand a particular activity — such as cooking or 3D printing — place the relevant Pod in the same room.

Reporting behavior varies by Pod and is optimized for each type of sensor.

For the CO₂ and VOC Pods, Airo uses adaptive reporting. When conditions are stable, the Pod reports less frequently to conserve battery. When levels rise, it automatically reports more frequently so you can see changes sooner.

For the CO₂ Pod:

• Below 1,000 ppm: approximately every 5 minutes
• 1,000–2,000 ppm: approximately every 10 seconds
• Above 2,000 ppm: approximately every 5 seconds

For the VOC Pod:

• VOC Index below 150: approximately every 5 minutes
• VOC Index 150–200: approximately every 10 seconds
• VOC Index above 200: approximately every 5 seconds

Other Pods use reporting behavior optimized for their respective sensors.

Battery life varies by Pod:

• Temperature & Humidity Pod: up to approximately 3 months
• CO₂ Pod: up to approximately 30 days
• VOC Pod: up to approximately 30 days
• PM Pod: up to approximately 30 days

Actual battery life may vary depending on environmental conditions, reporting activity and usage.

With the complete Airo system, simply return your Pods to the Airo Dock for convenient charging.

Standalone Pods can be charged using the dedicated Airo Pogo Charging Cable.

When using the Airo app, you can also see Pod battery status so you know when it is time to recharge.

Yes.

Airo Pods are built on Matter over Thread, allowing them to integrate with compatible modern smart home ecosystems.

Available sensor attributes and features may vary depending on the Matter platform you use.

Yes.

Airo Pods can be paired directly with a compatible Home Assistant Matter setup and used as local Matter over Thread sensors.

An Airo Dock is not required for this setup, although you will need the appropriate Matter Controller and Thread Border Router infrastructure.

To use a Pod independently, you will need:

• A compatible Matter smart home platform
• A Matter Controller
• A compatible Thread Border Router
• An Airo Pogo Charging Cable for charging

You do not need an Airo Dock or Airo app for standalone Matter operation.

No.

The Airo Dock is required to use the Airo app.

The Dock brings your Pods together into the Airo experience, including multi-room monitoring, historical data, alerts, insights and other app-based features.

If you use a Pod independently without a Dock, you will manage it through the Matter platform it is connected to instead.

Yes.

Airo Pods can operate locally as Matter over Thread devices without relying on the Sensereo cloud when connected directly to a compatible third-party Matter ecosystem.

You can also use the Airo Dock simply as a charging base while keeping your Pods connected to your own Matter ecosystem.

Using the Dock for charging does not require you to use the Airo app or send your sensor data to the Sensereo cloud.

For the production Airo service, user data is stored on servers located in Europe.

We handle personal and environmental data in accordance with applicable data protection requirements and our Privacy Policy, with appropriate safeguards designed to protect your information.

If you prefer not to use the Sensereo cloud, Airo Pods can also be used locally through a compatible Matter ecosystem without using the Airo app.

Every Airo Pod includes a physical privacy switch, giving you direct hardware-level control over sensing.

When the privacy switch is turned off, the Pod stops collecting sensor measurements until you choose to turn sensing back on.

This means privacy is not controlled only through software or an app — you can physically disable sensing directly on the device.

Customers who place an order during the Airo launch pre-order period will receive lifetime access to the core Airo app experience included with their purchase, with no recurring subscription fee.

We have not yet finalized subscription plans for future customers or potential future premium services.

Any future subscription offering will not affect the lifetime core app access included with eligible launch pre-orders.

Yes.

The Airo app lets you review how your indoor environment changes over time, making it easier to identify patterns associated with sleep, cooking, ventilation, cleaning and other everyday activities.

You can also export your Airo environmental data for your own analysis.

The first Airo pre-orders are currently expected to begin shipping in Q4 2026.

Shipping timing may vary depending on destination and order volume, and we will keep customers updated as production and fulfillment progress.

Available shipping destinations can be checked directly during the ordering process.

If your destination is available, the price shown for your order is all-inclusive, including shipping and applicable taxes.

Yes.

For supported destinations, the price you see when placing your Airo order is all-inclusive, covering shipping and applicable taxes.

There are no additional shipping or tax charges added after your order is placed.

Airo products include a 1-year limited warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.

Customers who place an order during the Airo launch pre-order period receive an additional year of coverage, for a total 2-year limited warranty.

The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse or unauthorized modification, and is provided in addition to any statutory consumer rights that apply in your country or region.
